From Taos County Fire and EMS the Office of Emergency Management:
Due to dry conditions and lack of moisture, effective immediately there will be no open burning in Taos County until May 1, 2018. If conditions do not improve by May 1st the burn ban will remain in effect until conditions improve. If there are any questions please contact Taos County Fire Chief Mike Cordova at 575-737-6469, or Taos County OEM Director Bobby Lucero at 575-737-6459. This notice does not pertain to lands managed by the U.S. Forest Service or BLM which currently do not have any restrictions in place.
