Provide technical insight on maintenance projects. To improve the working conditions with a safe environment and to better the working conditions for Taos County Employees.
Duties & Responsibilities
Acts as a project liaison between contractors and County Commissioners
Addresses all safety issues and provides technical insight and recommendations related to determining building and grounds policies, goals and objectives
Assures all project operations comply with OSHA guidelines
Complies with federal, state and county safety standards
Develops and negotiates maintenance contracts for special facilities and/or services needed
Develops construction proposals and makes recommendations on building projects
Monitors contracted projects
Oversees department safety and risk management programs
Plans, directs, and assists County Departments in identifying maintenance, construction, and remodeling projects
Prepares bid specifications for contracted projects
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of thirteen buildings and two parks
